Michael A. Macera, Sr.
President
Michael Macera has been in the waste disposal business for over 40 years. In 1966, after two years at Roger Williams University, Mr. Macera formed Macera Disposal, Inc. with one used truck. The company grew and acquired 16 other small companies, resulting in gross revenues of $18,000,000 a year by 1987. In 1987 the company was sold to B.F.I. and Mr. Macera moved to Arizona to semi-retire.
Meanwhile in 1980, Mr. Macera co-founded Olympic Compactor Rentals. Mr. Macera sold his shares in 1990, and later that same year, founded Greenleaf Compaction Rentals which has grown to become the largest compactor rental company in the United States.
In addition to founding the Greenleaf companies, Mr. Macera was the founder of Summit Waste Systems in 1999. This company was acquired by Allied Waste in 2001.
Mr. Macera is currently the President of Greenleaf Compaction, Inc. Since his move to Arizona, Mr. Macera has been a stockholder in various companies outside of the waste industry in addition to investing in real estate.
Ray Hatch
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Ray Hatch is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Greenleaf Compaction, Inc. He joined Greenleaf in Q4 2010 after serving in various executive capacities with our sister company, Oakleaf Waste Management. Ray also has over 20 years of experience in foodservice distribution with responsibilities ranging from Division President to Corporate Chief Sales & Marketing Officer.
Jim Bentley
Vice President Business Development
Jim Bentley joins Greenleaf team - 2011. Mr. Bentleys 20 years waste removal experience includes a successful operational background; his responsibilities included business development, mergers and acquisitions, project management, and system conversions. Jim has spent a large part of his career taking under performing companies and finding ways to make them successful profitable business units. Jim joins the Greenleaf team as the Vice President of Business Development.
Freddy Subia
Operations Manager
Freddy Subia joined Greenleaf in 1998 as an Accounting/Operations Coordinator. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2004 and now oversees both the Operations and Customer Service teams. Freddy enjoys the fast paced environment Greenleaf demands. He understands the need to maintain high quality in customer service while requiring fast service from his team members and vendors. Freddy graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Finance.
Melissa Lockard
Controller
Melissa Lockard joined Greenleaf in 2007. Melissa has more than 14 years experience in the leasing industry, managing document approval, funding, booking, accounting, customer service and lease end administration. Melissa graduated from Emporia State University with a B.S. in Accounting and passed the certified public accountant exam in Kansas.
